A word from Russell Neal re next Monday's inaugural JAM Night
"I have had a great response about the inaugural Jam night on Mon 12 Oct at Kellys on King, Newtown. - Here is the link to the list of players and songs so far.
We have lots of songs, now we need musicians to put their names against them as accompanists - PA and backline (guitar amp, bass amp, drums) will be provided, so performers can just step on stage and play.
Social distancing and other safety precautions will apply.
None of the above will preclude performers from playing solo sets if they want.
For more information, email me."

Phonograph Jack
As we work to find new ways to live in a changing world, we return to familiar songs to find that they have acquired new meanings. So, what's worth keeping?
Allow us to introduce to you 'Phonograph Jack', who wanders the tablelands of NSW stirring the memories of those who live and work there. Dance to the tunes of Sally Sloane and Ebb Wren under the stars, listen in the dark to the songs of battered travellers and chancers with hope still alive in their hearts.
Presented by Chloe & Jason Roweth, online via their Facebook page. Donations welcome via web page.

The Foreday Riders - 8pm
An extra show for The Foreday Riders, after their sell-out first post-lockdown show on September 12 at Leichhardt Bowlo!
The 'Riders' are true legends of Australian Blues, this year being their 53rd year together as a band. And they are as good as ever!
Led by brothers Ron & Jeff King, the Riders are often referred to as “The University Of The Blues”, acknowledging the number of blues-players who have spent some time in the band and then moved on to become established performers in their own right.
This gig presents a rare chance to catch the full band in their current line-up: Shane Pacey (Bondi Cigars) - lead guitar & vocals, Ron King - harmonica & vocals, Jeff King - guitar & dobro, Stan Mobbs - bass, & "Rosscoe" Clark - drums.
Leichhardt Bowling Club 88-92 Piper St, Lilyfield
Tickets $31. Limited number of tickets due to Covid-19 restrictions so book early!

Christina Mimmocchi & Greg White -7pm
'The Hungry Mile' & other stories.
Inspired by a mutual love of fine songs, Christina Mimmocchi (Blindman's Holiday) on vocals and Greg White (AustraLYSIS) on guitar dovetail their diverse musical experiences for a night of original acoustic magic, including the pick of new songs penned during the Covid lockdown.
Christina continues her journey as a story-teller with one foot in the musical tradition and the other exploring divergent pathways. Greg returns ‘unplugged’ to his acoustic guitar roots after a long career in music production and experimental music performance. Together they are inspired by the classic songwriters as well as much older musical traditions. In addition to their own songs, you can also expect to hear some familiar songs by the likes of Bobby Gentry, Paul Simon and Pete Seeger.
Petersham Bowlo 77 Brighton Street
Covid-safe. Limited to 45 people. Bar & bistro open.
Bookings essential.
