SUMMER EXPOSURE TRIP

Himlayan Adventure Institute, Kempty

58 shelter home children went for camping to Himalayan Adventure Institute, an outdoor education centre based in beautiful Himalayan surroundings, for 6 days. Activities included treks, yoga, shooting, rappelling, sports climbing and rock climbing!

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

June 5, 2018

Joining the movement to #BeatPlasticPollution, our children participated in clean up drives in and around Dehradun, performed street plays, made and distributed paper bags to local vendors, watched documentaries on environmental issues, participated in drawing competitions and face painting events.

INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR STREET CHILDREN

April 12, 2018

Children and team members of Aasraa staged nukkad nataks (street plays) at Rajkiya Purva Madhyamik Vidhyalaya - Rajpur Road, CNI Boys’ Inter College - Paltan Bazaar and on streets around the city to raise awareness among people about different issues faced by street children. Mrs Mohini Daljeet Singh, Chief Executive, Max India Foundation was the special guest at the event.

Welham Boys' School invited us to participate in their global Round Square Event held for schools from different countries. Sports event was organized for 140 of our children at their campus.

On the 11th World Autism Awareness Day, our shelter home boys participated in a rally, organized by Nav Prerna Foundation, to put a spotlight on the hurdles that people with autism face every day.
