Your Monthly Gazette: Issue 2.01 - January 2016

From the Editor

Happy New Year!!!

January: the month of new beginnings, new perspectives, new goals.... and our first Quarterly Awards of the year, as well as a collaboration creation (see below)!

What are your goals for 2016? We'd love to hear. Perhaps a quick blog is in order? (Hint hint)

Here's to 2016 and may it be filled with golden opportunities.

Quarterly Awards

Theme: Winter

Winter is the coldest season of the year, nights are longer and it is the ideal season to spend the never-ending evenings by making a jewelry. Create any type of jewelry with signs characteristic to Winter, submit it into our awards and win!

Collaboration Creation

What is a "Collaboration Creation"? Well, it's a creation design that we collaborate on and create together!

Here's how it works:

  • we choose different elements of a creation (strands, colours, solitaire or not, symmetry, etc)
  • we vote on the elements
  • we create — our own version of “the same design”

I think the collaboration process is fun and it, hopefully, will inspire and perhaps even have members trying something new.

This weekend, we are voting on the following:

Interview With A Jeweler

Thanks to Cheryl Lojewski for taking the time to share her journey with us in this month's interview.

"My name is Cheryl Lojewski and I live in the Land of Enchantment. I’ve been married to a great guy for almost 43 years and we have two children, a daughter & a son and we have two beautiful granddaughters. We also have two granddogs, two grandcats and two great-grandcats! I’ve been retired for almost three years now and absolutely love it….more time to bead!"
