Have You Noticed? We Are Growing!

It's 2019 and we have so much to be grateful for at Memorial!  We are experiencing a renewed energy and passion for ministry and it is starting to be more and more evident in the life of our church.  From the 6 Point Outreach Plan, to new visitors that are returning and learning about our church to the Christmas Eve Service (the first in 3 years with more in attendance than our average Sunday morning worship) we are growing together!  So ask yourself, what can I do this year to keep us on our path to growth and renewal!  Let's keep growing together in 2019!

Dwelling in the Word

Come join Vicar Dawn for "Dwelling in the Word", a deeper dive into the lectionary texts for that Sunday.  This lectionary study will run from Jan 20 to Feb 10 at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings before worship.  Haven't you sat in worship sometimes and thought, "I wish we could talk some more about this text?"  Here is your chance!

Are We Spiritually Growing in 2019!

One of the things we are really focusing on in 2019 is the path to deeper spiritual growth for all of us as individuals.  Certainly, worship together each week is part of that, but what do our spiritual disciplines look like in between Sundays?  We started that focus during the Advent Season with our home Advent resources.  We are also encouraging everyone to take home the Celebrate inserts each week and USE them as prayer guides, to review the texts from last week and begin exploring the texts for the next week.  Set a personal spiritual goal for this year and let's keep growing together in 2019.

Vicar Dawn's Blog

Hello Memorial Family!

Happy Epiphany! I pray you are blessed this week with good health and a churned-up Spirit. I'm away at Luther Seminary but I look forward to being in worship with you next week. Until then, I pray you enjoy the Mystery Revealed in our text.

Toward Shalom,

Vicar Dawn

Children's Choir

Rehearsals are at 1:30 p.m. on each Sunday afternoon except the Sundays when they lead in worship.  If you have interested children or know of any in the neighborhood, please encourage them to come and join in the fun!  Please contact Lauren for the official rehearsal schedule each month as the calendar is subject to change.

Worship Leadership

Thanks to all who have signed up for new roles in worship leadership.  The new monthly worship leadership list  is posted on our website.  And as always, if you can't cover a particular Sunday just be sure and let us know in advance.

Cleaning God's House

Since we no longer have our former tenants cleaning our church, we are trying out a period of "clean as you go."  We are asking everyone to pitch in when you can.  If you have a few minutes and see something that needs to be cleaned, "get 'er done!"  Ask if you need help finding any supplies.
