Florida State asks 'What's your Green Dot?'

Florida State celebrated the launch of its Green Dot program with a special event at the Westcott plaza where students, faculty, and staff learned to identify ways they can become active bystanders. The Green Dot organization promotes violence prevention through peer and cultural influence and recognizes that everyone has a role to play in eliminating power-based personal violence. U.S. Navy targets Florida State research

FSU's Center for Advanced Power Systems (CAPS) has become the first university test site accredited by the U.S. Navy to perform high-powered simulations as the center develops next-generation shipboard power technology. “CAPS has long led the way in pioneering power systems testing, and to be recognized by the Navy not only shows how valued they are as a research partner, but also the high quality of work they deliver on a daily basis,” said Vice President for Research Gary K.
