Human Enquiry Project newsletter

A Non-Profit Project

Welcome

Welcome to this first newsletter from the Human Enquiry Project. Thank you for subscribing to the newsletter. Since the book launched about 2 months ago, I've been busy adding more content to the website and building the Facebook page. If you haven't already do go ahead and have a look at the Facebook page here.

The link to the Twitter feed is here

We have had readers in India, Australia, Brazil and the US, besides here in the UK. The feedback has been positive overall. If you have read the book, I would be so grateful if you would consider adding a review on Amazon.

This is a book best read a chapter at a time. Take the time to reflect on it, before moving on to the next one. Remember, all our minds work in similar ways, so that is why we can explore it together.

Exploring Criticism

I did a series on exploring criticism because it seems to affect all our relationships. If we can explore the subject and understand what is going on in our minds, in the background, we can respond with intelligence and not just automatically. So much sorrow can be avoided as a result. If you click on the questions below, it will take you to the article. You will see that behind our own particular experiences, the process going on is the same in us all. Do feedback with what you think, with examples from your own life if you can, and any questions you may have.

1. Why are we critical of others?

2. Why are we sometimes really critical of ourselves?

3. When we are criticised, how can we respond with intelligence?

A new approach to climate change

Understanding ourselves and how our minds work not only helps us lead more peaceful lives, but can also help solve some of the worlds problems, because they begin in the human mind. The beauty of this approach is that the change occurs without effort, naturally, just through seeing ourselves clearly. Do feedback with your views on this video.

Looking ahead

There is so much to do, and not enough hours in the day! One of my passions is to try and get this into education so every young person is taught not only about the world around them, but also about themselves.

I've spoke to a parent-teacher group in Yarm School and also had some feedback from York University. Both are evaluating the project at present. If we can get a few pilot projects off the ground, and prove this approach helps, we can roll it out across the country. The fact that it is a non-profit project should help.

If you have any contacts in education please let me know.

I look forward to hearing from you with your news, and any feedback you may have on this newsletter, the book or the website.

Do share this with your friends. Thank you.
