Special offer for AAMT members

Matific is an online resource mapped to the F–6 mathematics curriculum that can help teachers prepare and present maths activities. Games can be presented on the interactive whiteboard, or played independently on a computer or tablet. 

As a special offer for AAMT members, Matific is offering free home access for students in 2015—normally $10 per student per year. The offer also includes admin and training support so you can learn how to search effectively for content, plan your lessons and make use of the reporting tools.

AAMT conference Indigenous scholarship

This program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators (who work closely with a teacher) to attend the AAMT conference and present a session with a teacher-colleague. The award will cover payment of the conference registration fee and up to $1000 towards travel and/or accommodation for the successful applicant.

Become a Mathematics Meta-Mentor

AAMT has partnered with the University of Canberra to undertake a project to support science teachers to appreciate the mathematical demands of their subject, and to provide strategies to support students better meet the demands that science makes on their ability to use their mathematics.

The project is entitled Unpacking the maths in science. AAMT members are invited to submit an expression of interest to become one of five Mathematics Meta-Mentors (3Ms) who will be the core workers on the project.
