Friday 26th & Saturday 27th of November
Welcome to the 2nd (out of 4) chapter of this introduction/setting-the-mood for the end-of-November events! Bonfire night is behind us, but according to the words of my beloved V (from Allan Moore's graphic novel V for Vendetta):
Artists use lies to tell the truth. Yes, I created a lie. But because you believed it, you found something true about yourself.
The 1st episode of nonRADIO Mental is titled after an (one of the many) amazing children's book by Oliver Jeffers: The Heart And The Bottle (would recommend it to all children and adults). It isn't that often that ...just(?) a few simple words alongside some really graceful designs can somehow challenge you to (finally...) turn inside, and look deeper into what could be troubling you for years and years... Dealing with loss and grief is something we all have to face (and the feeling of loss can be connected with many different elements of human life!).
So... somewhere inside this beautiful triangle made out of various invented lies and objective truths, those we lost forever but still remain in our hearts, and our highly complicated world, I have been looking for an opportunity to start a new ...fire. One that could potentially only last for a few moments... or one that will grow into a warming hearth... or even one that will burn everything down...
Two fire-relevant outcomes came out during the last two years. Both will have a prominent position during the live shows at the Bread & Roses Theatre In Clapham (London). The first (older of the two) Fire: raging you can listen/watch it below (dressed in a video by the brilliant friend Dan Kidner @shootsteadi_photography). The second Hestia, I will present next week! Enjoy!
