Match Day! FSU med students set to take next step as future physicians

While 116 graduating students from FSU's College of Medicine Class of 2016 learned Friday where they will enter residency training this summer, the college also received word it is the second-most competitive medical school in the country for admissions according to U.S. News & World Report. “We clearly have become a medical school of choice ... ,” said John P. FSU's Marshall is a Hall of Fame chemist

Alan Marshall, a world-renowned chemist at Florida State University, has been named one of seven 2016 inductees to the Florida Inventors Hall of Fame for his transformative work in mass spectrometry. Nominees to the hall of fame must be connected to Florida and have at least one U.S. patent. With eight to his name, Marshall more than fits the bill. Read more ...

President's Ring Ceremony

Florida State will host the President’s Ring Ceremony from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. The ring ceremony welcomes all upcoming graduates who purchased an FSU class ring to participate in the tradition of receiving their ring from President John Thrasher, then dipping it into the Westcott Fountain.
