Last week, our amazing teachers continued to build class community and introduced Beginning of Year assessments. For the next two weeks our students will complete one-on-one reading assessments, as well as writing and math assessments. The data results of these assessments will inform differentiated instruction for each student, drive the academic goals in our Site Plan for Student Achievement, and professional development for staff. Additionally, our teachers are fostering culturally relevant conversations during SEL time and rolling out academic instruction. Please be sure to have your child READ each day outside of school hours. Reading for pleasure and sharing this activity with you will strengthen the bond you have with your child, and promotes a sense of emotional well-being that is incredibly important now more than ever!
This is a long holiday weekend and we will return to school on Late Start Wednesday, September 8th. Our gates open at 9:40am and school begins at 10:00am The warning bell rings at 9:55am Please be on time.
Much appreciation goes out to all our families and students for wearing masks during drop off and pick up. Your cooperation plays a major role in supporting our students health and safety.
Have a fun and relaxing long weekend. I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday!
