Announcements 1st April 2018

"When Jesus was being crucified, he cried out to God, “O God, Why do You punish me like this?” Immediately he realized the Truth and said, “O God, let your Will prevail. It is You who has created me, sustained me, and protected me. I will not act against Your Will. It was a mistake on my part to blame you.” When he recognized his mistake, an ethereal voice said, “All are one my dear son, be alike to everyone.” Once you recognise your mistake, Divinity manifests. Man today does not recognise his mistakes; instead he looks for mistakes in others. Do not be bothered about others faults; search for your own faults and rectify them. Only then will your life be sanctified."

Dear

Jai Sai Ram! A very Happy and Holy Easter to all devotees. At this holy time of Easter we remember the sacrifice the Lord has made for us humans and we may ask what can we do for the Lord? But as Swami reminds us, all He wants is our Love and for us to share this with our fellow man. We have lots of opportunities for you to share in His Love and to share your Love with others so please do join us for some of these events. As always, please send us any feedback about this email or our events by emailing us at info@leicestersaicentre.org.

Human Values Day

We have a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Swami's legacy and His universal message of practicing the five Human Values through World Human Values Day.  To mark this important day we have organised three public events in Leicester City centre on Saturday 21st April as follows:

10:30amWalk With Values - Join us with members of your family to walk from the King Richard III Visitor Centre (LE1 5DB) to Humberstone Gate. Unlike other walks, this walk is not intended to raise funds. Rather, to pledge our commitment to practice at least one human value in our daily life.

11:30am: Human Values Concert at Humberstone Gate.  We have a series of exciting groups performing songs related to the Human Values on a dedicated stage. This year we are excited to announce that the famous ‘a cappella’ group Vadé, winners of Sky 1’s show ‘Sing: Ultimate A Cappella’, will be one of the groups performing.

2:00pm: Unity of Faiths Symposium at the Salvation Army Building, Kildare St, Leicester LE1 3FY. Faith leaders will present their thoughts on the Human Values from the perspective of their faith.

This no doubt will be a wonderful occasion to foster unity within our community and raise awareness of human values and its practice in our daily lives which will impact the communities around us in a positive way.

So please do join us on the day and remember to register for the event.  We also need volunteers as marshals on the route, for helping with the catering and other service activities.  Please get in touch if you are able to help.
