I’m a hypocrite… sometimes.

See, I harp on skincare so much! I even have a free skin care guide  and dedicated an entire chapter to skincare in my book before I ever talk about makeup.

But the struggle is SO real.

I am not perfect when it comes to taking care of my skin. I try my best, just like working out, eating healthy, and drinking water.

But the last two weeks in September were crazy busy. While I had been showering and washing my face (yay me!) I ran out of my face wash and started using my husband’s instead. Problem is, my husband’s face wash is formulated for oily skin and well, I have super dry skin. It’s a recipe for disaster.

I would skip my nighttime moisturizing round because I was tired. Brushing my teeth was the priority.

To make matters worse, I wasn’t wearing makeup during the day... only on the days I had clients and then, I’d be simply doing extra skin prep for makeup.

Which reminded me to remind you, there’s a big difference between skin prep and skin care. So much so that I wrote a blog post on it and even recorded a podcast episode on it.

If you want to learn more about the difference of skin care vs. skin prep, pick whichever format suits you best at either of the links below.

Also, if you’re anything like me, you probably leave your halloween costumes to the last minute! I thought it'd be fun to reminisce on some of my favorite "last minute" costumes I made with items from my closet. You can read that post here.

As always, stay beautiful. Remember that I respond to every single email and that I'm SO grateful for you and your time.
