This video newsletter will cover your relationship with creative energy and the creation cycle.
Hi. I am Tom Wakechild, the best-selling author of the A Course in Miracles-Dummies Series and Ending Fear: the 7R Formula for Fearless Awakening.
The last newsletter ended by stating the fact that there are three types of people in this world.
1) People who make things happen.
2) People who watch things happen.
3) People who say, “What happened?”
I then asked, which will you choose to be?
Life is all about relationships. When you look back upon your life, you will not judge its success or failure based upon the things you acquired. Rather, the quality of your life will be determined based upon the relationships that you have cultivated.
Relationships will be the one thing of lasting value. The Law of Relationships states that people will not remember what you said and did but they will remember how you made them feel. The experiences that you shared and the learning lessons which were taught bring value to your life.
Yet, the most important relationship that you are here to explore is your relationship with creative energy. Your relationship with creative energy will determine which of the three types of people you become. As your ability to work with creative energy improves, you move up the scale and become a person who can makes things happen.
How you choose to utilize your creative energy will determine who is in charge of your self-identity. If you refuse to exercise your creative powers, your self-identity will be determined by parents, society, your peers or someone else. But certainly not by you.
Life is creation. It is within the creation cycle that your creative energy is utilized. Without this energy, you would be powerless to effect change in your life. You would be an innocent victim of outside forces that were beyond your control. Fortunately, you are not a victim since you do possess a creative force that can be utilized to impact your real-life experiences. You do have the inert power to cause, shape and modify those experiences. You are not a pawn in the game of life but an active participant.
In time and space, the creation cycle is the tool for learning. You have come here to learn how to become the deliberate creator of your own personal world and identity. Self-determination is the right to freely decide what principles you will choose to guide your life. You are here to live authentically and in true harmony with those principles. You confirm that self-identity when your actions align with those principles in difficult and challenging situations
This world is where your current beliefs about your self-identity are tested under adverse conditions. Each creation cycle provides a learning opportunity to explore various “what if” scenarios that relate to that self-identity. Each creation cycle generates experiences that provide the learning lessons needed to determine if any mid-course corrections are warranted. If the results are unsatisfactory, you can modify your beliefs or actions to create potential new experiences that confirm and align with your new chosen identity. Or you can give up your right of self-determination and accept some outsider’s versions of what you are.
Learning, not earning, is the goal of each creation cycle. Each creation cycle is a process, not an end in itself. If you are dissatisfied with the current results, you are free to make mid-course corrections. The four elements of the creation cycle are beliefs, actions, experiences, and feedback. Since this world is a world of individuated perception, your beliefs and experiences reinforce each other. What you believe supplies the creative energy to generate confirming experiences. In turn, these confirming experiences strengthen your originating belief. Thus, your future becomes a replay of your past. The names of the players may change but the underlying themes and results remain the same.
Because you fail to understand and utilize all four elements that comprise the creation cycle, you remain powerless to change your past beliefs and experiences. This failure results in the perpetuation of the ongoing cycle. Without change, no additional learning can take place.
The two under-utilized and often ignored elements of the creation cycle are feedback and action. These two elements provide the impetus to break free from your past thus, creating new beliefs and experiences that align with your own preferred identity. But to do this, you need to effectively use your creative energy in both the feedback and action stage of the creation cycle.
In future newsletters we will continue to explore the creation cycle. You too can learn how to use your own creative energy to break free from past negative creation cycles that rob you of your happiness, inner peace, and true self-identity.
Whether you realize it or not, your world is a reflection of you. It is where the varied and numerous creation cycles are played out and become your life’s experiences.
This fear-based world is the arena for the game of “What Am I.” When you become the master of your own creative energy, this old game of “What Am I” is miraculously transformed into a game in which you get to proclaim, “ I Am That.” You utilize your creative energy to demonstrate and align with the principle you have freely decided will guide your life.
When Gandhi was asked if he had some message to tell the world. His reply was simple. “My life is my message. “
Gandhi lived his principles.
Based on your actions, would anyone correctly guess the principles you claimed guided your life? Do you walk your talk?
