Vote Oct 19!

“We envision Canada as a country where the lives of all children are enriched by quality school music programs, and where their active participation in music is valued and supported in our communities.”

Every time we elect leaders to represent us, it is an important time for our Arts and culture, for our heritage, and for future generations. MPs live in and represent our communities. They will have an influence on our lives. Check out our new Election Kit with suggested questions related to music in our schools and communities for you to use with your local candidates.

New Look – Renewed Energy

We proudly launch our new website, which was developed by Spencer Phillips of Wimbo Media Ltd. and the Coalition’s Communications Coordinator. Spencer has created a website that is easier to navigate, full of great information and new opportunities. We are so excited that we’ve launched the English site first and the new French site will follow very soon.

    Some highlights include:

    • Why learn music?
    • News area
    • Events calendar
    • Discussion Forums
    • Member’s area

We will continue to upgrade the sites. Let us know what you think – info@musicmakesus.ca

This short video highlights this year’s celebrations and focuses on the youth who make it all happen. The video can also be used as a great advocacy tool.

      Welcome Ashley Boychuk

We are so pleased to welcome Ashley to our team. A performer and educator, she brings years of arts development and administration experience. Ashley recently moved to Toronto from Winnipeg MB, and we are glad she did! Anchored by past experiences with inner city youth and outreach projects, Ashley holds close the understanding of how music can indeed change lives and create a world of possibilities for anyone and everyone.  Read more
