Q1 2016 Edition

Dear Reader,

First of all, a Happy New Year to you. We hope you thoroughly enjoyed the Holidays and are off to a very productive start of 2016.

2015 was a year full of excitement for IBIS Management. We established successful relationships across the globe, on-boarded new clients reaching from the Caribbean to Europe, and won the 2015 Innovations award for developing FUZE, the Global Payment Platform for Trust companies.

Along with these accomplishments, we gave back to the community with "Inspiring Growth" sessions for local entreprenuers as well as generous Christmas donations to local and regional families, kids and non-profit organizations. The year culminated with a perfect ending as we celebrated all our achievements at our 15th Anniversary Celebration in November. We thank those of you who were able to attend.

With all these achievements and celebrations behind us. We have already hit the ground running, developing new solutions for our clients to help ensure operational excellence and back-office efficiencies. Smaller banks and trust companies, please be on the lookout for our new Hosted solutions such as Internet Banking, Regulatory reporting system and a Lighter version of our Payment platform for Trust companies.

Also expect regional workshops and seminars to guide Financial Institutions in ensuring compliance with Global banking standards. The first Seminar on Regulatory Reporting will take place the end of February in Trinidad & Tobago.

In this edition of IBIS Insights, we will share news from regional Central Banks, some of our accomplishments, as well as images and videos of 2015.

We are also very pleased to announce that our new website www.ibis-management.com has gone live and will continuously be updated with fresh news and information to keep you abreast of our developments as well as relevant industry news.

Central Bank of Belize modernizing Payment system

The Central Bank of Belize has been involved in various reform activities to ensure Global Standards are met. Belize will soon undergo a change in its financial infrastructure, related to the implementation of a modern payment system as recommended through a World Bank Assessment.

With such changes, commercial banks will be connected through an Automated Clearing House (ACH), relieving financial institutions, for example, of manual and error-prone check processing that normally take 3-7 days clearing.

To assist the banks in Belize in the transition process, IBIS Management offers key ACH solutions along with its Payment Processing platform, Alchemy.

The Alchemy Payment Processing Platform is a powerful state-of-the-art payment workflow managing system enabling financial institutions to become ‘profitably efficient’ in the arena of domestic and international payment processing.

The system is designed to process payment from any source and to interface with a number other systems (E.G. SWIFT, RTGS, & ACH). The processing of the payment is executed through a single one-window payment screen that supports all payment types for both manual and automated payments.
