Springboard Makes a Splash in Austin

We make it practice to go where our network goes and March means SXSW in Austin Texas. This year in addition to our annual dinner, panel discussions and judging the SXSW accelerator, we partnered with Dell, Microsoft, Dot Co, WeWork, Zoe Media and others to host a Fashion Tech Dolphin Tank at the #DellLounge

Our 5th annual Springboard dinner @SXSW featured a sold out crowd and talks by Leslie Bottorff (GE Ventures) and alumna Becca Braun (MW 2001). Dell hosted a special session earlier that day featuring women in Congress that included Springboard alumna, Rep.Suzan DelBene (SV 2001)

Our Fashion Tech Dolphin Tank showcased 5 fashion forward companies including NYFTLab 2014 company Trendalytics. Epibiome (LS 2015) and Dropel (NYFTL 2014) pitched at the SXSW accelerator and Cohero Health (LS 2014) won the Impact Pediatric Health startup competition.

Springboard Community Dinner

Amy and Leslie Bottorff (GE ventures) join Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (alumna 2001) at our annual dinner with 70 of our colleagues. And special thanks to our Dinner sponsors: DLAPiper, Dell, Dot Co and Holtzman Partners.

Becca Braun (alumna 2001), the Braun Group, presented her formula for telling a compelling CEO story. Leslie Bottorff, Managing Partner at GE Ventures shared insighte in GE's health care investment strategy.

Over 1000 people registered for Springboard's Fashion Tech Dolphin Tank cohosted by Dell, Microsoft, .Co, and WeWork at the Dell Lounge on Sunday Panelists Thom Gruhler - Microsoft, Penny Zuckerwise - Guggenheim Partners, Jessica Novak - Zoe Media Group, Jim Lussier - Dell Ventures, joined Amy Millman for the presentations.
