Happy Thanksgiving Wishes

Hello Romance Lovers!

Happy Thanksgiving to my U.S. friends. The big Turkey Day is only a week away, and I hope you are prepared and have help. My daughter-in-law will be chasing the Twinadoes and my daughter has to work. Mr. H and my son can both cook, but the demands of Thanksgiving are beyond their skill level. Since I don’t want to do it all myself, I have opted to purchase a complete Thanksgiving dinner from a local supermarket. Makes for a more relaxed, easy day.

I have so many things to share with you this month~

First, one of my favorite books, The Highlander’s Accidental Marriage, is now on sale until November 27th for only 99¢.  You can find it at all retailers. This is one of the books in my Marriage Mart Mayhem series. It’s a road trip story, which I always found to be fun. And it makes for a lot of "interesting" situations. Wink, wink.

Next, I will be sending out a survey to all of you in the next couple of weeks about your reading habits. Everyone who responds will be entered into a drawing for a signed copy of Denying the Duke. This will be a once a year survey, so please don’t think I will be asking you to do this all the time. Your information is valuable to me in that it helps me make decisions about what to write next and how to distribute my books. Thanks in advance for sharing your feedback!

Now, for the big announcement! My new, very special book is coming out in March 2018. The Pursuit of Mrs. Pennyworth is the first historical thriller/suspense romance book I’ve written, and I’m very excited about it. I've written a prequel to the story which is only available to my  subscribers and is included in this newsletter. Starting next month, I will feature a chapter from The Pursuit of Mrs. Pennyworth until it releases in March. Be sure to read the newsletter each month to be the first to enjoy my brand-new story.

The only way to read the prequel and the first four chapters is by subscribing to my newsletter, so invite your friends to sign up. Here's a convenient link to share with them: https://www.subscribepage.com/f3b6d8_copy

About the Book

Charlotte Pennyworth’s well-ordered life is about to explode. Someone is leaving ‘gifts’ on her doorstep. The flowers were fine, but now the ‘gifts’ are becoming more improper and finally, sinister. When Scotland Yard turns her away, she hires Elliot Baker, a private investigator.

Elliot is willing to help the beautiful widow, but based on a past experience that wrecked his life, he is distrustful of women. And he knows Charlotte is hiding something. But her lure is too strong, so he takes on her case by posing as her suitor.

In the year that Scotland Yard is chasing Jack the Ripper, women all over London are nervous. But Charlotte has a real reason to be anxious. Can Elliot put aside his suspicions of his client, or has their ‘pretend’ courtship turned into something he swore he would never do again?

Or perhaps Charlotte’s past has caught up with her.

She never intended to take a husband...

Scotland, 1817

The Duke of Manchester's sister, Lady Sarah Lacey, always abides by the rules of etiquette. Fate, however, has no such confines. On a journey to the Scottish Highlands, Lady Sarah is set upon by misfortune-leaving her without carriage or chaperone, and left to the mercy of a kind and handsome gentleman. Whom (in order to secure a room at an inn) she announces is her husband.

When she proclaims they're married in public, Professor Braeden McKinnon can't bring himself to correct the lovely Lady Sarah. After all, her reputation would be ruined. Nor can he tell her that her proclamation is not only legally binding in Scotland, but sharing a room is considered to be an act of consummation...

Now they are bound together until death do they part-even if Sarah has no intention of becoming any man's wife.

Christmas Crack

Every year I get requests for my Christmas Crack recipe. I decided to share it with you now so you have plenty of time to whip up several batches to enjoy with family and friends and give as a gift.

40 saltine crackers (approx. 1 sleeve)
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Boil 1 cup of butter with 1 cup brown sugar, about 3-5 minutes until it pulls from the sides.

Line a cookie sheet with foil and spray it with pam. Line the sheet with 1 sleeve of saltines.

Pour the butter/sugar mix on top and bake in a 375 oven for 7 minutes. Take it out and put chocolate chips on top and return to oven (oven off) just to melt.

Spread the melted chips with a knife. Cool, then put it in the fridge for 3 hours to set. Then crack it up with your hands.

Delicious and very addicting!
