Research Analyst vacancy

Runnymede and the Centre for Labour and Social Studies are looking to hire a Research Analyst to work on a joint project between our organisations.

The role will involve using quantitative methods to explore issues of race, class and housing in London, including the issue of ‘gentrification’. This is a full time role on a one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension depending on further funding.

Forced deportations resumed

Runnymede staff joined a demonstration against the forced deportation of 50 people to Jamaica last month.

Many of those scheduled to be on board had been in Britain from a young age, had settled status and/ or families in the UK. All would have already served sentences for their crimes.

The charter flight still went ahead, however dozens of people were pulled off last-minute on a technicality.
