Whilst the winter months are usually a quiet time for tennis clubs, that certainly hasn't been the case for us this year.
All courts have been rejuvenated and the general consensus of those who have used them is that they are playing really well - though it will take time for us all to get used to the different speed. Just as importantly though, they are safer and have lots more life left in them.
At the same time, we have changed some of the gates onto the courts to allow for maintenance access, concreted the pathways and improved the decking area.
Work is still on-going, including the need to add a little more sand into the courts within the next few weeks (don't worry, you won't notice it is there!).
Please help us to keep the courts in good condition by:
- Changing into your tennis shoes at the Clubhouse, not the car par
- Ensuring that the courts are clear of leaves and debris before play commences
Thank you to everyone who has been involved in this project - most notably Lyth Watson, without whom things wouldn't have progressed as well.
