Girl Code Rule #157: Friends don’t slut shame friends.
Laynie woke to an arm over her waist, a hand cupping her boob, and morning wood nestled between her cheeks. She could smell Gideon’s scent all over her – his cologne, his skin, his sex – and she was horny all over again.
She hadn’t gone home the night before, and she’d just woken up in Gideon Roth’s hotel bed with him behind her ready to go another round.
She felt her insides clench and ache with the reminder of how he had filled her so fully and deliciously last night. She knew she had to get up and leave before anyone found out she hadn’t come home, though, or people would start asking questions.
Gideon’s hand traced the length of her curves down the side of her body, sending shivers all the way down to her core. She felt the wetness pooling between her legs, her body telling her to stay and see what happened, and she was just about to give in to the idea when her phone rang from her purse across the room.
Panic-stricken, she pulled out of Gideon’s arms and sprang from the bed, wrestling her phone from her purse pocket.
Fuck, it was Priya!
Instead of answering, she stumbled around the room pulling her clothes on.
“I have to go,” she said with an apologetic lift of her furrowed brows. She slipped into her shoes.
Gideon slipped casually out of bed and came to wrap his arms around her. He pressed a kiss to one corner of her mouth and then the other.
“You could stay for breakfast,” he offered.
She shook her head, holding up her cell. “It was Priya! She’s calling me. Oh my God, what if she already knows? What am I going to tell her?”
“Do you want me to tell her?” he offered.
“No!” she snapped. “That would make things even worse. If she had to hear it from someone else first, I would never live this down.”
He held his hands up in mock surrender. “Got it. You’ve got this one.”
Her shoulders sank, taking in the sight of him in his hard-on tented boxer briefs. He was all toned and sculpted and touching her again.
“I’m sorry. This is something I’ve got to do on my own, but it’s not going to be easy. Priya is going through a lot right now, so this,” she gestured between them, “is not going to go over well, I’m afraid.”
