Human Values Day

We have a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Swami's legacy and His universal message of practicing the five Human Values through World Human Values Day.  To mark this important day we have organised three public events in Leicester City centre on Saturday 21st April and we hope you will all join us on this day.  Please remember you need to register for this event so that we can make the appropriate catering arrangements.

This no doubt will be a wonderful occasion to foster unity within our community and raise awareness of human values and its practice in our daily lives which will impact the communities around us in a positive way.

So please do join us on the day and remember to register for the event.  We also need volunteers as marshals on the route, for helping with the catering and other service activities.  Please get in touch if you are able to help.

Walk with Values

Join us with members of your family at 10:30am to walk from the King Richard III Visitor Centre (LE1 5DB) to Humberstone Gate. Unlike other walks, this walk is not intended to raise funds. Rather, to pledge our commitment to practice at least one human value in our daily life.

Human Values Concert

At 11:30am we will start the Human Values Concert at Humberstone Gate.  We have a series of exciting groups performing songs related to the Human Values on a dedicated stage.  This year we are excited to announce the following groups who will be singing and playing values based songs:

• The famous ‘a cappella’ group Vadé, winners of Sky 1’s show ‘Sing: Ultimate A Cappella’
• Gospel choir - The Emmanu’-EL Apostolic Gospel Academy who are going to be featured on Britain’s Got Talent 2018; and
• Steel band - Boilup Tropical

Unity of Faiths Symposium

At 2:00pm we will be hosting a Unity of Faiths Symposium at the Salvation Army Building, Kildare St, Leicester LE1 3FY. Faith leaders from the Leicester Council of Faiths, will present their thoughts on the Human Values from the perspective of their faith.  In-between the speakers we will have various musical items including devotional songs from our own youth.

Lunch will be provided prior to the symposium at the same venue - please do join us for lunch.
