forget the apple, one creative break a day keeps the doctor away

Dear ,

Every day for the last 38 days, thousands of people including many of you and meself have been trying to create daily for the 100 Day Project 2016.

At this stage, some have stopped, some are catching up, and some are still hanging there.

The one thing I love about creative challenges is the emotional roller coaster that comes with it. They don't just challenge your creativity, they also tickle your endurance, your self-esteem, your organizational skills, or your perfectionism to name a few areas.

I knew picking a video a day would be challenging. And it is. I want to make so many things but the days go by, I don't take the time I'd need to give life to my ideas and I end up posting something that feels like a tiny % of what I could do.

And yet, it's all worth it.

And the reason why is because everyday for the last 38 days, I've put myself in a situation where I'm expanding what's possible.

And that is half of the battle. Because of happy accidents, videos made quickly, and frustrations, I am nurturing my knowledge, my skills and my confidence. And even if they only grow by a millimeter, and even if there's a lot more to cover, it's a start. There's no reaching a mountain's peak if you never start climbing (or learn how to walk!)

Whether you are part of this creative challenge or considering doing one remember this:

It's not about creating the perfect 'thing', it's about expanding your creative universe.

You and I and everybody else will have time to go back, redevelop, rework, replay with the germ of an idea that was born during a creative challenge. (Here is my personal latest proof)

So be kind to your creative muscle and use it!

Nathalie

PS: In the previous email, I've shared the list of some of yous who are participating to the challenge, and forgot a few names: Eric is doing #100dayat01_00pm, and Meludt is sharing a hashtag with her three sisters (a concept I love) under #the100daysof4sisters

PSS: @Bricemg got his project #100daysofpopularpixels picked on Fubiz France! Kudos!
