Professional learning in maths and science

Around 70 teachers are convening in Canberra this week for professional learning as part of the Secondary Science and Mathematics Mentoring (SESAMME) project being led by the University of Canberra. SESAMME is one of the five AMSPP projects that AAMT is involved with.

Earlier in the year, 10 teachers were recruited as Maths Meta Mentors. The project team will be preparing and disseminating resources to help colleagues with the challenges around the maths that is integral to learning and understanding in science, and using science contexts for mathematics learning.
