Ahhhhh it's like a breath of fresh air we think. Just in time for spring and the exciting events and happenings in our Woolloongabba warehouse!
Firstly friends, please come to our exhibition – ELEMENTAL BRISBANE! The opening night party on 15 October is the tip of the iceberg of events planned this year. We'll release a programme of master class workshops very soon and a family fun day on 22 October will mean everyone gets a chance to join in on the creative reuse!
September is pretty packed too with plenty of opportunity to flex those up-cycle muscles. Brisbane's own festival of the three Rs, The Green Heart Fair, is coming up on 11 September at the Carindale Recreational Reserve – make sure you come say hi at one of our free workshops! Or for some mid-week craft for littlies, join us at South Bank Parkland's Little Days Out on 22 September.
And for the 4- to 12-years-olds we've got a full programme of School Holiday Workshops (read more below) with some great themes!
DON'T FORGET THE ADULTS! Join in with our Clothing Repair Cafe community on 10 September (FREE EVENT) and make sure you snap up your place for what is sure to be a popular Salvaged Steampunk Jewellery Workshop 24 September.
Are you an artist based in Logan? Like to help build a model of a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) at a Logan City Council/RGQ event? The build is on 12 November at Logan Waste Fair, but you need to register by Friday 9 September.
We always love getting your amazing photos of what you've made with salvaged materials... now we're seeking your reflections, stories and photos for a new collaborative project mapping the future of creative re-use, for This Salvaged Life.
Finally friends, we hope to see you this Saturday to unlock the potential of the RGQ baggable aisle. There is a plethora of crafting to be done from just one bargain bag - let us tell you how. (FREE EVENTS)
See you in the Woolloongabba warehouse soon!
