forget the apple, one creative break a day keeps the doctor away

Dear ,

In the last year building the Creative Break community, there is one thing I’ve realised: almost every time I share about my experience being in a burnout and my solitary path finding my way back to create with joy and playfulness, I’ve heard back ‘I’ve never told this to anyone yet, but I’ve been in a creative burnout too.

And if not that, they feel on the verge of being in a creative burnout or currently deep in it!

It’s as if creative burnouts were unavoidable in one’s journey.

There is this strange paradox when you’re a creative and you are in a burnout: you can’t talk about it because it looks as if you’re admitting you can’t do the job people pay you for. Clients and financiers don’t want to know we’re in a creative burnout. So we don’t talk about it.

A lot of people who create for a living end up forcing through their burnout in silence, and yes, they keep creating, but they know they are not really creating. Not from their inner and unique voice, taking risks, pushing boundaries, experimenting or simply having fun.

Maybe that’s your case as well. Or maybe you are realising that despite your desire to sit and create, weeks pass by and you just can’t find time to actually sit and create. Or that you don’t know how to create anymore, and how or where to start. You feel there’s something in you, it’s tickling, it wants out, but you just don’t know what to do with it! So you don’t.

All those examples come from stories I’ve heard multiple times, several of them coming from you. But I’ve also heard that that’s not what you want anymore. You want to create, have fun and feel light again.

It’s with all those stories, conversations and exchanges in mind that I’ve been working on what I could offer back as a response and so, this July, I’m launching the first online creative break: Activate Creativity.

If you recognized yourself in one of the examples above and want to reconnect, stretch and nurture your creativity, this should interest you.

So stay tuned, soon I’ll send you more details about the workshop, the dates, what it’s about, and how to enroll.

In the meantime, you can already ask thyself: would I like to spend more time with my creativity?

If the answer is yes, then you’re on the right communication channel, and we shall speak again very soon!
