It's time to make a decision that will not feel reasonable, but that will take you on an emotional roller coaster of creative growth.
I'm participating to the second edition of the 100 Day Project, and I'm offering you to join along.
As you can guess from its name, the 100 Day Project is something you decide doing every day for 100 straight days. You could do that anytime really, but artist Elle Luna leads an official run on a global scale, and doing it along with thousands of people is a unique experience.
Doing it last year was a life-changing experience for me. And yet, I was planning not to do it this year, because I don't have time.
The thing is, my only job really is to make time for my creativity. Coz if I can't make time for it, how can I expect it to grow and shine?
- So here is my invitation to you:
- - make time for your creativity
- - pick a project to do for 100 days
- - pick a unique hashtag that starts with #100dayof...
- - share your work with your unique hashtag and #the100dayproject hashtag so people can find you
- Tips to make your creative life easier:
I find that giving yourself realistic restrictions and picking a simple workflow help ensure success. If you know you are traveling a lot, only have 15 minutes during lunch break or a broken phone to take pictures, pick something that works along those restrictions, not against.
- This year, I'm planning to do 100 videos.
I'm still working out the details restriction wise and the workflow, but it makes sense for me to do something video related, since I'm working on my first feature film and vlogging weekly. My unique hashtag on Instagram will thus be #100dayofvideos.
Last year I did 100 days of Rondas. I cut 15x15cm papers, and every day I drew one Ronda Bazooka on one of them. After 7 days I thought I would never find another idea again. I made it to the 100th day.
Below is a 1 min video recap of all the drawings (and you can find them all under the instagram hashtag #100daysofrondas):
