Coloring Books?

Coloring Book Review and Giveaway

How do you feel about coloring books?

Nancy Sapp, on Facebook, said, "I LOVE coloring books because I also get ideas for MY sketches or Zendoodles from them! And everyone has a different idea on the colors they choose for each page."

I have heard other art teachers say coloring books are creativity killers.  Do coloring books have any place in the art room?  I'd love to hear your thoughts

I was gifted a coloring book to review for my other personal art blog.  See what I think about coloring books and comment to win a free coloring book.

Did you miss this blog post?

One of the things I almost always do on the first day of art class is read a fun, art-related book.  I made a blog post of some of my favorite books to read on the first day of school.

See the list!

Frank Stella's abstract art is amazing!

I am a big fan of Frank Stella's abstract artwork.  At the end of the school year, my students visited an art museum to see a retrospective of his work.  Some of the students created artwork inspired by his abstract prints.  See the details here!
