forget the apple, one creative break a day keeps the doctor away

Sounds great but:

#1 if I do it, I want to make sure it'll work.

#2 now is not a good time. Next time, maybe... if I have time.

#3 I'm such a perfectionnist... I can't.

#4 I'm not ready, I haven't done anything for years.

#5 I'm not creative at all.

These are the most common justifications I hear from people who complain about not creating.

I believe there is only one solution to solve not creating: creating.

Oh, that's convenient.

I believe it's the solution, but I don't believe it's easy.

And don't get me wrong, by creating I don't mean painting the new Guernica, winning an Oscar, writing a Pullitzer-worthy novel or composing the 9th Symphony's cousin.

By that I mean creating something that didn't exist one minute before in the Universe.

Think about how powerful it is: you hold the superpower of creating something that can only exist if you make it.

The problem? We want more. We want to be told it's great, we want to make money out of it, we want it to give us social prestige or something. We want the insurance that it will be worth it.

I get that.

We've built a world where creating is not enough. Everything we make needs to be justified and have "value" (the big word).

I get that, but I don't believe in that. I believe there is another path. A path where you get to be fully expressed and love the life you live every day, whether your famous and rich or not.

My invitation to you is to go against the mainstream flow. To take a leap of faith, to listen to the voice that says "I really really really feel there's something in me that needs out" and to follow it.

The why? Because you know there is much more to you than what's out right now.

If that seems like a big enough reason, save the dates: Activate Creativity will start on July 17 and will end on July 25

Your part of the contract will be to dedicate 30 minutes per day to your creativity. Our part of the contract will be to give you the tools to make this inner creative adventure a rich one.

More soon,

Nathalie
