Sunday For Sammy - ‘A Sketch for Sammy’ - 7th August 2016
Fancy a laugh? Well we’re offering you a chance to grab the last few remaining tickets for this years ‘Sketch for Sammy’ competition where Sunday for Sammy trustees will judge a short list of comedy gold at ‘The Stand Comedy Club’ in Newcastle.
The afternoon will feature brand new sketches by new writers as well as original sketches performed by the Laffalang Gang. Top comedians Steffen Peddie and Josh Daniels will provide stand-up links for what is guaranteed to be two hours of non-stop entertainment.
Last year Kevin Wilkinson from Morpeth entered the ‘Sketch for Sammy’ competition and was crowned winner with his script ‘Clink’ when it was performed to a sell-out Newcastle City Hall by Emmerdale’s Laura Norton plus ITV’s Pam Royle and Ian Payne during February’s Sunday for Sammy show.
Founding member and Sunday for Sammy trustee Tim Healy explained:
"We launched ‘Sketch for Sammy’ last year and got a tremendous response from dozens of people in the region. Kevin’s winning sketch was performed at the sold-out Sunday for Sammy concerts at Newcastle City Hall and I’m looking forward to seeing some more new talent this August."
